Lizzy Caplan

Lizzy Caplan (Elizabeth Anne Caplan) was born on June 30 1982 where she was raised in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in a Reform Jewish family. She attended Alexander Hamilton High School, a public high school on Los Angeles’s Westside. She attended the school’s prestigious Academy of Music, a performing arts program, and decided to pursue drama after she lost interest in playing the piano. She starred in productions of Much Ado About Nothing and You Can’t Take It with You and graduated in 2000.

Her first acting role was a minor role as Sara in Freaks and Geeks. She made many guest appearances on TV and even appeared in Jason Mraz’s music video “You and I Both”. Her role on Mean Girls gave her more notice as an actor. She later had roles on Tru Calling, The Class, Related and even True Blood.
